Tea placed into cardboard cartons?
Empty tea cupboards and lots of packaging visible? This can mean only one thing...
We're moving house.
One of life's immediate pains, suffered somewhat more frequently by those of us serving out our sentences in various universities.
Of course, one of the good things about the process is that it gives one the chances to evaluate all of the accumulated detritus that daily life tends to acquire, and shed the excess. It's a small consolation, though...
I'll update this article with some notes on the new Xizihao "Yuanshilin" when we arrive at the other end of the High Street. It seems like a lot of fuss for a move of less than one mile. In the meantime, do please share your experiences of these new cakes with us , if you have had the time and opportunity to test them out.
A bientot...
Well, I haven't tried the new XZH, but having just recently completed a move that also took place because of academic nomadism... (except this was a move of almost 800 miles) I can feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteI experienced that too. I do not know what the reasons are one your side, but it seems to me that Oxford has the best rules to provide as much hassle as possible to the students.
ReplyDeleteAll the best with the move, DC!
ReplyDeleteAll universities love kicking their people around. I think it is driven by the bureaucratic desire to... make rules that then require as much administration as possible. It's a self serving mechanism, really.
ReplyDeletetop shelf, center. Does not look like a cha vessel to me....

Good eye!
ReplyDeleteBalvanie...
Ian: Hmmm, doesn't look like tea to me either, but looks just as tasty. >:]
ReplyDeleteI just got done moving from my temporary summer housing back to my apartment. It's good to be back, although I'm headed out again to see the folks.
Good luck with the move.
Good luck with the move. Is the single malt for after unpacking?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good wishes!
ReplyDeleteWell-spotted on the Balvenie. I must confess that it contains 60s Gaoligongshan maocha, though - heh.
