This one is, perhaps unsurprisingly, about my youngest son. I love the moment before the smile, like waiting for dawn to break. The haiku format functions well for delivering us these potent pauses.
The "smile" in the image that makes this haiga is from the Royal Academy of Engineering, which is perhaps the only one of our royal institutions where I haven't embarrassed myself, and where I can apparently operate the lavatories successfully. Of course, it's never too late...
