Even when the storm has passed, the raindrops continue to fall under the acer tree. It has preserved its own little rainstorm, releasing its gentle payload for quite some time after the rain clouds have moved on. There, under the small acer, the autumn rain continues.
Xiaohu's little wind-up digger is trying its hardest under another tree: it pushes with all it's might, but cannot budge the old trunk. I admire its efforts, just as I admire the continued endurance of the rainstorm in finding solace under the tree.
A sweet little haiku in the traditional style meets Xiaohu's toy digger. I feel happy with this one.
